Born 23 May 2018 (UK586439 100035), by Withington Hero (Milk Marketing AI bull) out of Kileekie China Model 2nd. Parentage verified by SNP, and screened clear of every recessive on the breed panel: Dilutor, Idiopathic Epilepsy, Hypotrichosis, Maple Syrup Urine Disease, Mandibulofacial Dysostosis and Delayed Blindness.
Listed in the Hereford Cattle Society and the Traditional Hereford Breeders’ Club semen registers. A proven, easy-calving sire from a true Traditional line with an exceptionally quiet temperament.

Kileekie Best Man - "Jolly"
Jolly is one of the many Kileekie bulls sold on to herds around Scotland and the wider UK. Over the years our stock bulls have gone out to found and strengthen Traditional Hereford herds the length of the country, and the Kileekie prefix now runs through pedigrees well beyond Ayrshire. That spread is the point of the work: conservation happens when the bloodline is used.

Brora is an established stock bull currently at Pilmuir Farm and previously at Wellsgreen Farm, by Kileekie President out of Shefford Julia 11th in 2021. Brora is a quiet, easy-calving sire with a true Traditional head and the correct Hereford conformation.

Every Kileekie animal is parentage-verified and screened clear of the breed’s recessive conditions, accredited free of BVD, IBR and Leptospirosis, Johne’s Risk Level 1*, the lowest risk, and TB testing exempt. That health status is worth real money to a buyer: it protects your herd from day one.

The Traditional Hereford is on the Rare Breeds Survival Trust Watchlist. Every straw or bull that founds or strengthens a Traditional herd helps keep the original population alive. We are glad to talk bloodlines and matings with anyone serious about the breed.
